i can remember the day derek was knocked down, it was sunday 8th july 1990, that morning we had been playing in the front garden with a kitten,its funny really how the rest of my childhood is a blur but that day i remember it from start to finish,derek wanted to go get his bike which wasnt that far from our house and before he went he ran into dad and asked him to tape superwoman,that sticks in my head cos that mornin he had his superman pj's on!!so after a while i went to meet derek at the end of our estate and thats when he got knocked off his bike, i remember our neighbour comin out and bringin him into her house,he seemed ok but while i was holdin his hand he went unconsious,the ambulance came and that was last time i seen him alive!!it turned out he had a fractured skull but the hospital wouldnt scan his head cos they said the cut he had behind his left ear wasnt sustained in the accident so left untreated he went to sleep forever,even now i still miss him so much, he was my big brother and there has been loads that i have wanted to share with him so im hopin by havin this site for him i can express my love and that everyone will no how much he truly meant to me, thank u for takin the time to look at thisXxX
